Projects
Projects for 2018-19 are being updated. Those with 2018 in the menu are confirmed. Review the project description using the pull down menu for more information on each one.
4-H projects are what really intrigues most people, and why many of our members joined. Pictured above is the proud poultry handlers at the 2014 show and livestock fair, holding their birds for show. Many people think 4-H is only about livestock and agriculture, but it's so much more than that. We here at OABB have a wide variety of projects you can enroll in, including livestock, cooking, crafts, sciences, photography, and much, much more. There truly is something for everybody!
Projects are run by an adult volunteer, and usually have one meeting a month. Experienced youth ages 11+ may ask for permission to be a junior or teen leader, depending on their age, and assist the project leader with planning and running the project.
New members are suggested to join a maximum of two projects for their first year.
Hover over the 'projects' tab for a list of the projects offered in the 2018-19 4-H year. Some returning projects may have a photo gallery at the bottom of the page. Don't see something there that you wanted to join? Consider starting your own project!
